Ms. Dozier-King is a well-traveled, knowledgeable, and concerned citizen of Clayton County. For the past 21 years, she has been a resident in Ellenwood, Georgia. She is the mother of 3 children who attended and graduated from one of the Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS). Ms. Dozier-King is a native of Columbus, GA and she graduated from Columbus High School. Her continuing education includes earning a Bachelor of Business Administration- Management (BBA) degree from Strayer University. In addition, she completed one year of study towards a Master of Business Administration (Executive-MBA) degree from Jack Welch Management Institute/Strayer University (JWMI).
Ms. Dozier-King has 15 or more years of work experiences in the area of education with the State of Georgia in an administrative capacity with Muscogee County School District (MCSD) in Columbus, Georgia and the University System of Georgia- Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, and working with C-Level administrators. She has supported the federal government in various administrative capacities at the following federal agencies:
Ms. Dozier-King has served her country as a US Navy veteran for 23 years (active duty and reserve duty). Her fields of training included telecommunications/technology, career counseling, and supervising. She has had an opportunity to travel to various duty stations overseas and within the US. She has benefited from her education, training, travel, and work experiences to become adept in diverse cultural interactions, maintaining discipline, and exhibiting strong leadership abilities.
The effects of businesses that do not give back to our community hurt us in the long run. We must deal with businesses that give back by way of Corporate responsibility and by way of service to our community to enhance our quality of life and contribute to our youths (Internships or Adopt a high school). Together, we can make a difference.
She is a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. A dedicated, motivated, and resourceful public servant willing to serve her community. In order to strengthen it, make residents more knowledgeable, and contribute to a greater county.
The ideal approach is based on Research, Education, Con-census of information (listening), and making a better District 1. It is about building a serious foundation for our community and maintaining it!
